Azusa, Heavy Yoke and heavy mixtures

fcg.com.ro, November 12, 2018February 6, 2026

If you give me this record and tell me it is Extol’s music, I would not deny it. I would just add that Peter got a little more feminine talent in terms of vocals. Besides such joke, “Heavy Yoke” appears exactly like a heavy mixture from the very first second…

Kraków’s “minus”, a pronounced improvement of the sludge aesthetics through progressive means

fcg.com.ro, September 6, 2018February 6, 2026

Everything is really well-condensed on “minus” and one can tell that only by looking at the playing time. It’s less than 40 minutes of music which focuses on the best the band could give at this moment. Production-wise, everything works perfectly in my opinion, especially since I can discover all sorts of “mysterious” sounds in the mix, from reverberations to fuzzy soundscapes. That being said, “minus” is a just-discovered planet worthy of continuous exploration…

Night In Gales, Swedish melodic death from another world

fcg.com.ro, February 28, 2018February 6, 2026

Night in Gales reached the greatest improvement with this new release, which sums up the catchiest aspects in the band’s history. The vocalist Christian Müller took charge again and this line-up change lets the group appear as it if it had continued what was left after the “Sylphlike”…

Howling Sycamore, an impressive form of rhythm and loudness

fcg.com.ro, January 26, 2018February 6, 2026

Davide Tiso, the mastermind of the project Howling Sycamore, made already clear the fact that his music is guided by otherworldly threads. The last album by Ephel Duath is a sheer instance of this direction, not to mention the debut of the beloved Karyn Crisis, the Gospel of the Witches…

Annihilator’s “For The Demented”, a glorious way of blending the old and the new

fcg.com.ro, November 20, 2017February 6, 2026

Precisely as the dementia relates to various types of symptoms, the 16th studio album by Annihilator deals with a wide range of musical manifestations…

Music is an unconscious exercise in metaphysics in which the mind does not know it is philosophizing.

Arthur Schopenhauer

Blood & Fire Productions is a noble underground phenomenon that began in 2002 as a small online magazine dedicated to promoting hardcore, metal, and other alternative forms of music to a national audience, with occasional international reach. Built on passion and authenticity, it quickly grew into more than just a publication, becoming a platform for connection and expression within the underground scene. Over the years, it has evolved while staying true to its roots, expanding from reviews and features into a broader cultural hub for heavy music. Now in 2026, that progression is clearly visible across the website, both in form and vision. Today, Blood & Fire Productions provides online distribution and runs a small label focused on releasing music they genuinely believe in— driven not by trends, but by dedication to the underground and the music they love.

Without music, life would be a mistake.
